He graduated from Private Ming Hsien School in 1941. He was a professor of animal genetics and breeding. He used to be the president of China Agricultural University, the vice president of Society of Agronomy, the executive director of the International Goat Society, and the animal husbandry consultant of Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations.
